News for Entertaiment
Audacity and ignorance are amazing things
They tend to make the birds not sing
They tear dreams down
And destroy happiness’ crown
All to the beat
Of several drummers in a meet
The cacophony of discord
Reigns as supreme lord
For all who can hear
Destroying all we hold dear
Yet the sound is so relevant
To those that think it is heaven sent
That they lend their voice
Leaving the sane no choice
But to cover their ears and pray
That they will lose their voice this day
I shall always be amazed
At how stupidity is praised
At how it’s banner is raised high
By those that have the public’s eye.

It’s hard not to be disillusioned and hurt while watching the major news networks. If you are actually an intelligent person, and can see through lies and deception, then why would you actually watch that stuff?
Admittedly it is about the ONLY news we are fed anymore, the news that garners ratings. Every time I turn on one of those channels I feel something like an enormous weight crushing me down, as if I’m watching the downfall of humanity play out for entertainment. The belittling and battling over topics the ‘journalists’ obviously have no real clue about is nothing but a regurgitation-fest ver what they talked about around the water cooler it seems.
But alas, that is the State of the Union. Its hard enough not to be crushed by it, let alone try to make changes. I worry sometimes that there is no changing it, that it’s a runaway train, destined for failure. I mean, truly...one of the greatest scientific advancements of this decade, and I honestly learned about it through jokes about it being ignored on comedy Facebook captions.... The tragic reality of living in such a day and age.
