A Rambling Rant (please forgive)
I understand that hindsight is always 20/20, but I really wish people would think before designing things. I know this blog post is going to come out as a rambling rant, but I don’t care, sometimes people just need to get things off their chest.
What is the obsession with putting carpet in the bathroom? Honestly who thinks this is a good idea? Its really horrible when its done in a ‘trailer home’ where the floors are wood below the carpet. After so many months of getting out of the shower and being even a little bit wet, the floor starts to sag and has to be replaced.... Its bad enough in a house with a foundation, that carpet will mildew over time, and become a health hazard no matter how much you clean it.... Carpet in a bathroom, yeah, that a definite fail.
Why would you put brown carpet into a house in a region where scorpions are known to live? They are brown as well.... You can barely see them on the carpet.... Just, wow. I really wish someone would have made a better choice, because I hate those arachnids. Especially when you see one, then you can’t see it because its all camouflaged.
Why would you put a thermostat for a house in front of the main entranceway? There is something to be said about the convenience of walking in and checking the temperature, but then the open door lets in the different temperature air, which kicks on the thermostat and changes the perfect conditions you had in a house. Nothing like the yoyo effect when it comes to household temperature.
Why would you put a ceiling fan in a room with a low ceiling? Maybe its just me being 6'3" tall, but ceiling fans hurt...a lot.... I’ve been hit in the head so many times by those things. The worst is when you stand up into them. WAP! *sigh* I swear those were put there by short people with a mean streak.
Anyways, enough of my rant. Hope I provided some entertainment with my ramblings. I mean, there’s nothing more funny than thinking about a tall guy getting nailed with a ceiling fan, is there? *grumbles to himself*
