Many times in my life, I’ve stopped and wondered if I’m living a fantasy. I don’t do it because things are going so well, I do it because I start realizing things aren’t going the way I thought they should. The problem is that statement, do I get complacent with my life? Do I take things for granted? When I’m making out with my wife, and she pushes me away, is it really because the reasons she gives, or have I allowed the romance to die when I thought it was burning strong?
Sometime in my youth, I discovered that sex can be a beautiful proclamation of love between two people. Yes, it can be everything else sex has become, but it can be so much more. When I’m making love with my wife, I can feel her soul there with me, and it feels as if my soul is reaching for hers. Sometimes I feel weightless, like I’m floating with her in a void of bliss.

(poem) - To My Friends, those who stayed, and those who didn't.
Love comes and goes
As does friendship's throws
Dreams flourish and die
Right before thine eye
The past will shine a light
Upon the future's plight
And give you the strength you need
To do heartfelt deeds
Even after the lights have faded
And your attitude becomes overly jaded
Fate will have his merry way
And the gods will balance themselves every day
And you will feel hate and war
As much as love longs for more
Music will fill the air
And Magic's electricity will raise your hair
Life 'tis an amazing thing
It makes me laugh and sing
Even as bad as it can be
I still find a way to live free
From all the chains that bind me down
And things that make me want to frown
It pains me to see my friends hurt
And their relationships turn to dirt
But I know they will move on
And be the best they'll ever become
The things I've seen and witnessed
Will never go past a friend's distress
Because a friend I am, a friend indeed
Especially if they have the need
For them I'm ready to bleed
Or even see to it they are freed
From whatever oppresses them
In whatever form
I'm just happy to be there for my friends
Because they are my true family, in the end
So no matter what life throws at anyone
I know my friends will survive, every one
Even if their love dies and their dreams whither
Me and my friends will always be together.

(poem) - Passing the Time Away
There is nothing
Like passing the time away
Reading books
Enjoying the hooks
Writing a novel
Can’t be that trivial
Singing a song
Under the rain
Can’t be wrong
Using the brain
Video game are a challenge
If you take the plunge
Experiencing a story
Told through allegory
There is nothing
Like passing the time away
Poetry and rhyming
Are much like breathing
You just start doing it
And never ever quit
Fame and fortune
May never arrive
But I live my life fun
This is for what I strive
Art flows from my fingers
Onto many, many papers
Words forming thoughts
Keeping my wit very taut
There is nothing
Like passing the time away
Jobless
But not homeless
I work for a bright future
Based on our love for each other
Nothing will keep us apart
The beauty of love brought us together
Every day we create amazing art
All the while, ignoring the weather
The climate of the entire world
Is trying to make our life unfurl
We will make it through this
For, together, we have nothing but time to pass
Fact is
There is nothing
Like passing the time away.

What My Life is About
I always hate looking at my blog topic list and not seeing anything on there I want to write about. Its not technically writer’s block, or being burnt out, its just...ambiguity I guess. So much good is going on around me, so much fun.
This blog is going great, I’m loving my camera. The hammock is such a great place to be, enjoying the hell outta my marriage. Got my Kindle loaded with books to read, and am writing a novel while helping Lisa write her newest. Exercise flows decently easy, though I need to do more of it, and I’ve got a great collection of stuff.

The Doctor Who Saved My Soul
Doctor Who, for those that don’t know, is one of the most popular television shows in the world. It originates from Britain, and is actually celebrating it beginning 50 years ago.... I don’t see how its not the longest running show ever....
When I first saw it, there was nothing on TV like it, especially not in the USA. The humor was not only funny, but incredibly smart, filled with all sorts of wonderful imagination. After watching that show, way back in the 80s, I grew a sort of disdain for the television shows in the US....

Blog Spring Cleaning
I keep looking at this blog and thinking about what I’d call ‘trimming the fat.’ Some of the earlier posts just aren’t up to snuff. Heck, there are a couple of posts that are really just ads for other posts.
Right now, I feel as though the pace I’m setting is great. Four posts a week are really working out, and it leaves me a wiggle room to write other things. But I can’t help but look at my post count, and wonder if I should divest the blog of some of the earlier posts.

An Empty House
There was a moment, when being home alone was such a great concept. You figure, as I blog from home, and I spend much of my time blogging in seclusion, that having the whole house to myself would help engineer more creativity. Yet for some reason it doesn’t.
I guess its true them, I’m too much in love to be alone. That’s one thing, I don’t think, any of my exes ever got. I don’t like to be left alone. Being in love with a person, really moves that person to the forefront of my life. That person become my muse. And without them casually interrupting me for something as simple as a kiss, I get distracted and start missing them.
